Mario, or Super Mario as some people call him, is one of the most popular characters of videogames along the world. Currently it has been transformed into a true symbol of the industry of entertainment, what has done that with the passage of time have itself gone updating and forming part of many new games of Mario Bros that surpass all the limits. But, which is the history behind this popular character?. As already we said, have had so many and so various games of this virtual friend that his origins are everyday more distants.
This nice friend had his first apparition in the year 1981, year in which the japanese Shigeru Miyamoto, that worked in a small business that create games for Atari called Nintendo, he created a game that he would be done very famous in West: Donkey Kong (the oldest will remember that the game consisted in save the girl that was next to a great gorilla that launched obstacles downward while you where rising up). In this game our hero was known like "Jumpman", but he possessed all the characteristics of Mario, as the suit of plumber and his popular mustache. Already in the year 1983, Nintendo launched Mario Bros., the one that would be the first game of Mario Bros where does his first public apparition Luigi, the brother of Mario.
Both games had a lot of success and the company Nintendo was already coming up to create it´s own console. Already for the year 1985, does it´s premiere the Nintendo Entertainment System or NES, that would be the first console (and not the last one) of this famous company and that included Super Mario Bros.: The first game of Mario Bros of platforms for this console, which would become all a revolution in the world of the entertainment, having an impressive success on a worldwide level. Here the history of Mario changes completely being created a new world around him. Do their apparition the Princess Peach, the eternal lady in danger that Mario should rescue; Bowser, the king of the tortoises who is the main enemy; Toad the small mushroom that takes care of the Princess and a great variety of enemies.
This juego de Mario would mark a precedent in the history of this videogame, therefore tens of serie appeared, therefore Mario had become the great sacred cow of the company.
