The upcoming hand held console, the Nintendo 3DS is causing a lot of commotion already, but what exactly will it feature and what kind of games will be available for it?
The Nintendo 3DS is going to be the "big brother" if the DSi, DS lite, and all the other previous ds generations. But what makes it so much better? The Nintendo 3DS will let the gamer see 3D graphics without the need of special 3D glasses! This is a huge technological advancement, and will surely pay off once released. Some other features of the upcoming console include:
-A bigger top screen, at 3.53" wide. 800x240 pixel resolution and will let the user see 3D graphics without any special gear or glasses.
-One inner camera, and two outer ones. 640x480 (0.3 Mega) pixel resolution.
will weigh around 8 ounces.
-when closed: Approximately 5.3 inches wide, 2.9 inches long, 0.8 inches tall.
-Can communicate in the 2.4 GHz band. Multiple Nintendo 3DS systems can connect via a local wireless connection to let users communicate or enjoy competitive game play. Systems also can connect to LAN access points to access the Internet and allow people to enjoy games with others. Will support IEEE 802.11 with enhanced security (WPA/WPA2). Nintendo 3DS hardware is designed so that even when not in use, it can automatically exchange data with other Nintendo 3DS systems or receive data via the Internet while in sleep mode.
-embedded mic. and B,A,X,Y buttons. New slide pad will also be included.
-New home screen button, similar functions as the home button in the PSP 3000.
-3D slider to control 3D visual depth.
With all of these awesome functions in the 3DS, the games, no doubt, will be great; but what kind of games will it feature?
Here are some of the titles Nintendo has already created for the new system:
-The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D - Zelda is always a classic, and if it's for the 3DS, it must be good!
-Animal Crossing - The fun and great game originally created for the Nintendo DS is now going 3D!
-Mario Kart - Everyone's favorite ds game, Mario Kart, will be available for the 3DS!
-Paper Mario
-Pilot Wings Resort
-StarFox 64 3D
-Steel Diver
-Nintendogs + cats

That's a pretty big list for a system which hasn't even been released yet! The Nintendo 3DS features a lot of surprises and new possibilities, but now all that there is to do is wait.:)
